Buy the book “The big island revealed - ultimate guidebook” and explore what you can do on the island – 15$, probably better than any other travel guide with lots of hidden gems to find
Eat:
Luquin’s Cantina in Pahoa – a Mexican Restaurant, operated by a family, with a wide choice of tasty meals
Café Pesto in Hilo (fresh organic salads, good pizzas with the choice of your toppings)
Wine tasting at the Volcano Winery – even when the wine choice is limited to 6 different flavors, it’s fun talk to the folks up there and they will start with a guided tour at July 2008
